A Touch of Tuscany... in Utah

I felt like I was in Italy as I photographed this beautiful home. I must admit I was a little intimidated, really intimidated actually, since it was my first time photographing a home. I'm not used to taking pictures at this scale, but I accepted the challenge anyway and started my research and experiments. I had two days to get the project done and the weather cooperated perfectly! The days were sunny with blue skies and gorgeous white fluffy clouds. The evenings were even better with breathtaking colors throughout the rainclouds. I was a little nervous being on a forklift 30 feet high with lightning striking not far away but I managed to get the shots needed without getting hit. This was a great learning experience and I hope to be able to shoot another home sometime. Thanks to the designer/homeowner, I felt a little bit of Italy without leaving the state. Grazie!

  1. Jon, WOW! Great job. My dad showed these all to me, explained how amazing it was to take them, and I must admit, you did an incredible job. I really love them. It makes me want to go home! I heard about the "layering" process of the photos, how amazing! WONDERFUL!

  3. Hey Jon,
The house looks amazing, but your pictures made it look better than I remember! I'd love to see the pictures of the polynesian fire dancers when you have a second. Talk to you later. Jason
